How close is the center to Marlton?

Very close. Our building at 1939 NJ-70 sits on the Cherry Hill side of the Evesham line, about 1.5 miles from Marlton. If you already travel Route 70 or Route 73 for work, errands or school pickups, the center is likely on a road you use every week.

That proximity changes what is practical. A full day of center-based therapy is far easier to sustain when the drop-off is nearby, and it leaves room in your day for siblings, appointments and your own job. It also means a missed morning because of traffic is less of a worry than it would be with a provider across the county.

It also helps with consistency. ABA works best when sessions happen as scheduled, week after week, and a short trip makes that rhythm easier to keep through winter weather, school breaks and busy seasons at work.

Does it matter that Marlton is in Burlington County and the center is in Camden County?

Not for therapy. ABA through your health insurance is not tied to county lines, so an Evesham family uses our Cherry Hill center exactly the way a Cherry Hill family does. Your insurance plan, not your county, determines coverage.

Where county and town do matter is school. Your child's IEP, Child Study Team and any preschool program come from your Evesham-area school district, not from Camden County. Our School & Community-Based ABA team can coordinate with your district staff when you give consent, so goals at the center and goals in class line up.

Should my child do full-day center ABA or in-home sessions?

Because the center is so near, Marlton families get a real choice. Full-Day Center-Based ABA suits children who need many hours of structured teaching, practice with peers and a routine that resembles a school day. In-Home ABA Therapy suits goals that live at home, such as sleep routines, toilet training, mealtime behavior or sibling conflict.

Your BCBA recommends a mix after the assessment, and the plan can shift as your child grows. Plenty of families start with center days and add a home session each week so new skills transfer from the therapy room to the kitchen table. Behavior analysts call that generalization, and it is one of the main reasons we track data in both settings.

What should Marlton families expect in the first month?

The first weeks are about trust. Before your child is asked to do hard things, RBTs spend time learning what your child enjoys and pairing themselves with those activities, so the center becomes a place your child wants to be. Skipping this step is a common reason programs struggle early.

At the same time, the BCBA collects baseline data, a record of where each skill stands before teaching begins. Later progress is measured against it. You will hear from the BCBA during this period about drop-offs, what your child is responding to and any early adjustments.

By the end of the first month, most families have a clear picture of the daily schedule, the main goals being taught and how to practice at home. If mornings are hard or separation is difficult, tell us. We can plan a gradual start or add a home session to ease the transition.

What makes our team different for Evesham families?

We are deliberately small. Low BCBA caseloads mean your child's supervisor watches sessions, coaches the RBTs and returns your calls. The same therapists work with your child week after week, and Clinical Director Charles Knoppel, BCBA, reviews every treatment plan himself.

Families from nearby Mount Laurel and Medford use the center too. When you are ready, contact us to set up a visit.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Is there an ABA center in Marlton, NJ?

Our center is not inside Marlton, but it is about 1.5 miles away at 1939 NJ-70 in Cherry Hill, just across the Evesham line. For most Marlton families it is one of the closest ABA centers available. We also provide in-home ABA throughout Evesham Township.

Can my child come to the center only part of the week?

Schedules are set by your child's BCBA based on assessed need and approved by your insurer. Some children attend full days several times a week, while others combine center days with in-home or school-based hours. We will explain the recommendation and work with you on a schedule your family can keep.

Will ABA conflict with my child's school program in Evesham?

It should not. ABA through insurance and your district's IEP services are separate, and many children receive both. With your consent, we share data and talk with teachers or the Child Study Team so goals support each other instead of competing for your child's time.

How long does it take to start ABA?

Timing depends mostly on paperwork: a diagnosis report, the BCBA assessment and your insurer's authorization. We handle the authorization request for you. We often have openings and can start quickly once it is approved, so ask about current availability when you call.

What do RBTs do during a session?

Registered Behavior Technicians deliver the teaching your BCBA designs. They run play-based and structured activities, reinforce new skills, follow the behavior plan and record data throughout. The RBT credential is issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, and every RBT works under a BCBA's regular supervision.

Do you take my insurance?

We accept most major plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Tricare and UnitedHealthcare. Coverage details vary by plan, especially for self-funded employer plans that fall outside New Jersey's autism mandate. We check your benefits for free and explain what we find before you commit to anything.

Is Route 70 the easiest way to reach the center from Marlton?

For most Marlton families, yes. The center is on Route 70 on the Cherry Hill side of the Evesham line, so heading west on Route 70 from the Route 73 area brings you right to it. When you book a first visit, we send address, parking and drop-off details so that first morning is easy.
